What is Magnetic Plaster?
Smart Magnetic Plaster is a pre-mixed, two coat solution that can be applied by professional and non-professional users.
Can a heater be used to speed up the drying process?
A heater can be used for the first coat if needed but for the second coat it’s best to just let it dry naturally to make sure it won’t crack.
How to protect your home/office from plaster dust.
Ideally you should cover the furniture in the whole room as dust can cover your furniture when you are sanding the wall. Otherwise you can clean the furniture after the application.
How is Smart Magnetic Plaster applied?

Do I need to prime the surface before applying Smart Magnetic Plaster?
Only very absorbent surfaces should be treated with a primer before application.

Can Smart Magnetic Plaster be applied on any surface?
Smart Magnetic Plaster is designed to be applied to any surface.
How thick should magnetic plaster be?
Smart Magnetic Plaster is designed to be applied directly from the container. It should be stirred thoroughly upon opening. Liquid should never be added to Smart Magnetic Plaster.
Can you paint or apply wallpaper on top of magnetic plaster?
Apply any colour paint, wallpaper or digital print on top of your magnetic plaster base. If installing a wallpaper or digital print on top, choose a thin rather than thick wallpaper.
It can also be combined with our Whiteboard Paint or Whiteboard Wallpaper to create a surface that is both magnetic and dry erase.
For maximum functionality, it can also be combined with our Smart Whiteboard Wallpaper – Low Sheen to create a magnetic, whiteboard and projector surface.

How To Use Magnetic Plaster
Magnetic surfaces are typically used for planning, scheduling, posting, brainstorming and lots more.

What type of magnets can be used with Smart Magnetic Plaster?
With Smart Magnetic Plaster any magnet can be used. For heavy objects we recommend using stronger magnets such as neodymium or rare earth magnets. Check out our Smart Neo Magnets here.
Product Range
What colour is magnetic plaster?
Our magnetic products include magnetic paints and magnetic plaster. Due to the magnetic particles in the Smart Magnetic Plaster, Super Magnetic Paint and Smart Magnetic Paint, these products are dark in colour. However you can achieve the colour of your choice by painting over with a water based primer such as Smart White Primer and a coloured paint of your choice. Alternatively install any wallpaper or digital print on top of the plaster for a design and pattern of your choice.
Are there different sizes available?
Smart Magnetic Plaster is available in 6m² only.
Kit Contents
Smart Magnetic Plaster comes pre-mixed and ready to use in a 10kg tub. Each tub covers an area of 6m².
Safety
When to use different types of personal protective equipment?
Gloves should be used when applying all Smarter Surfaces products. In addition, safety glasses should be worn. As with any painting or plastering process, ensure the room is ventilated.

Does Smart Magnetic Plaster affect WIFI signals?
No, WIFI works as normal. Smart Magnetic Plaster does not interfere with electrical signals.
Does Smart Magnetic Plaster affect pacemakers?
No, pacemakers will work as normal since the particles in the plaster attract magnets and do not possess magnetic qualities.
Can I apply magnetic plaster around heaters?
